Brendan builds all the panels for my paintings from birch plywood.
This custom box was created from elm and inset with an original artwork of mine on the top.
The box opens to reveal a leather bound limited editon catalogue that was presented to a prospective client in Singapore in 2013.
Brendan made the shadowboxes that framed my plexiglas printing plates for my Traces & Transits series. I wanted to use the printing plate as a window to look through to an encaustic painting in the background. The effect gave these pieces a strong 3D effect. This one is 13 x 13 inches.
This one,  Traces & Transits Plate 1. (30 x 30 inches) and one other will be featured in my May-June 2017 exhibition Amalgamation at Gremillion Fine Art in Houston. You can see a video of my printing the only prints made from these plates here. The prints were mounted, reworked and bured in encuastic and oil paint and sold as paintings. You can view the paintings, Traces & Transits 1 & 2  in the Sold Works Archive.
To accomodate my height so I could work larger, Brendan made wall mounts that extend over the concrete foundation of my studio so that the panel can hang flush to the wall.
